Today's drivers face the reality of dense urban and highway traffic, information overload from an ever-increasing number of sources, and pressing environmental concerns. We envision the car as an expression of the driver's will and values. We are developing technical solutions that assist the driver in safer and more convenient driving as well as driving pleasure.

Driver Assistance Systems (DAS)
The automobile should be an expression of the driver's will.
That belief drives the DAS team to push the limits of comfort and safety systems,
artificial intelligence, and advanced sensors for driver assistance.
The DAS team integrates new sensor concepts from the North American region,
extensively collaborates with universities, and supports
development for topics specific to the North American region.
By showcasing these applications in prototype cars, the team provides early
access to technologies trying to shape the automotive industry.
